Born to a nurse and a working artist, Kathleen’s early life was shaped by values of service and creativity.

After pursuing her B.A. at Loyola University Maryland, Kathleen joined Teach for America in Chicago-Northwest Indiana, teaching third and fourth grades and joining TFA’s mission to disrupt the predictable, inequitable outcomes for underserved students across the U.S.

Kathleen went on to teach and lead at KIPP Public Schools both in D.C. and the Bay Area — driving results across contents and contexts as a capable and collaborative leader. While working, Kathleen founded a winery in California — proving that her passion was not only community-oriented leadership, but entrepreneurship — and that if you set out to do something with conviction, it can be done.

Kathleen has focused her MBA at Berkeley Haas on Finance and Entrepreneurship through coursework and leadership in Haas’s ETA Club. She’s gained hands-on experience as a Chief of Staff in a search-acquired small business. She’s a Swiss army knife operator, and knows that a career in small business will keep her sharp for life.
